Booking requests

When you request a booking, we process your selected package, vehicle, preferred times, name and email address. We use this data to assess and answer your request, take steps before entering into a contract and, if booked, perform the rental. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; processing required by law is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Transfer and retention

Booking requests are transmitted to a first-party endpoint and stored for Dynamx GmbH in a Cloudflare D1 database restricted to the European Union. The booking record does not contain your IP address or a browser identifier. We disclose data only where necessary for hosting, communication, contract performance, legal advice or statutory obligations. Unsuccessful enquiries are normally deleted within six months; booking and contract data may be retained longer where statutory duties or legal claims require it.

Website technology and aggregate analytics

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page views and page performance. Cloudflare injects a JavaScript performance beacon and sends its measurements through this website’s /cdn-cgi/rum endpoint. According to Cloudflare, Web Analytics itself does not use cookies, does not collect or use visitors’ personal data and does not track individual users across its customers’ websites. A manual language selection is stored only in your browser. The website does not request your location. The hosting provider may also process technically necessary server logs for security and operations.

The website also sends a small set of aggregate booking-funnel events to its first-party /api/funnel endpoint: vehicle-page views, booking-button clicks, booking-page views, the first form interaction, submit-button clicks, coarse validation-error categories, locally valid submissions and acknowledgements that an inquiry was stored. An event can include the page path, selected vehicle and package, language, button placement and bounded campaign attribution. It never includes form contents, names, contact details, requested dates or messages. No cookie or persistent visitor identifier is used. These events are stored in Cloudflare Analytics Engine to understand aggregate website drop-off. A valid-form event means only that local validation passed and dispatch began. A saved inquiry event means the booking endpoint acknowledged D1 storage; it does not mean that the request was accepted as a booking.

Optional charging map

The charging guide contains an optional map provided by Open Charge Map. It is not loaded until you select “Load map”. Your browser then connects to Open Charge Map and the map and data services it uses. Those services can receive technically necessary connection data such as your IP address and request information. Traunsee Drive does not grant the embed access to your location. Using the map is optional; the guide also links directly to E-Control’s official Austrian charging directory.

Your rights

Subject to the law, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority.

What is fixed before you request

Traunsee Drive offers two black self-drive cars in Gmunden: a 2023 six-seat Tesla Model X AWD and a 2008 Audi S4 Avant. The Model X has Basic Autopilot as a driver-assistance feature; the driver remains responsible at all times.

From request to contract

Submitting the form is a booking request and does not yet reserve the vehicle. We reply in writing with availability, the total price and all terms applicable to the specific rental. A rental contract is formed only after that complete offer has been supplied and accepted as described in the correspondence.

Booking-specific terms

Driver and licence eligibility, insurance and excess, deposit, permitted countries, additional drivers, cancellation, charging, return and damage handling are disclosed in full before the contract is concluded. The website therefore does not invent blanket rules for an individual booking.

Handover and condition

Pickup and return are arranged in Gmunden. Every rental starts with a vehicle orientation and joint timestamped condition documentation. The well-kept used vehicles have existing signs of use, which are recorded at handover.
